LISTENING, WRITING AND SPEAKING: MASTERCHEF COMPETITION
Hi everyone,
What do you think of the T.V. programme Masterchef? Do you like it? I bet you do! Watch the following video and write any word you don't understand on your notebook. At the end, we will make sure that everybody has understood everything.
The video is called "The cooking competition" (Countable and Uncountable nouns)
Now, it is your turn. In pairs, you are going to have to write a recipe for our own Cooking Competition! Make sure you write a list of all the ingredients that you are going to need and the steps required to prepare it. You will have to present it on coloured paper so make sure that the presentation is good. Then, the class will vote for the best dish, which we will prepare all together in the school canteen. What do you think of the idea? Are you ready? Let's start...

Hi everyone,
Read the following text and answer the questions in your notebooks.
DID YOU UNDERSTAND THE TEXT?
Read the following text and answer the questions in your notebooks.
Hello,
My name is Jack. I'm the youngest in my family. My sister Debbie is the eldest, she is twenty years old and she is studying in the University of Columbia, in New York City. She always tells me that in America, people have very different eating habits. In the morning, for example, they almost never have bread and ham, or a slice of toast with olive oil, like we have here. In New York, people usually eat bagels, which are like doughnuts but made of bread. On special days, they might have pancakes or french toasts.
For lunch, they don't have a lot of time to eat so they usually eat a salad, a sandwich or a soup if it is very cold. Here in Spain, things are very different; we normally have a bigger lunch with meat or fish and vegetables. My sister says that her friends love to have cookies or danish pastries in the afternoon.
At night, they sometimes have a burger or a hot dog with their friends. This is our favourite part, because my sister and I love burgers! My sister always says that our mum makes the best meals: her favourite dish is the paella, but mine is the Spanish omelette..I'm sure that nobody can make a better "tortilla" than my mum!
